Justin F. Shaw, Founder and President of Advanced Financial Concepts, has practiced as a financial strategist and retirement specialist since 1995. He graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Houston in 1994. For the past 29 years, Justin has successfully designed financial strategies that continuously increased his client’s wealth and provided certainty for their income during retirement. His experience and unique approach empowers his clients to embrace revolutionary planning concepts that instill wealth-building habits and provide peace of mind. This has ultimately led them to a thriving lifestyle during their retirement.
As President of Advanced Financial Concepts, Justin leads his team of industry specialists and sets the exceptional standards of excellence, client care, and personalized service that all of the AFC team members demonstrate towards their clients. During Justin’s tenure he has been honored with numerous awards for his work with his clients. In 1998, he received the professional designation of Certified Funds Specialist from the Institute of Business and Finance. In 1999, Justin was awarded the professional designation of Registered Financial Consultant from the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants. In 2008, he became an approved member of the National Ethics Association. All National Ethics Association members have successfully passed their annual seven year background check for criminal, civil, and business violations. As seen in the September 2010 issue of Texas Monthly Magazine, Justin is part of an elite group representing the top 2% wealth managers in Houston. With there being more than 22,500 managers in Houston, only 381 were awarded with the 2010 Five Star Wealth Manager for Client Satisfaction. This was the second consecutive year for Justin to receive this prestigious award. Justin was featured in the August 22, 2011 edition of Newsweek magazine.
By conducting educational workshops throughout the years, Justin has become well-known and respected public speaker on a wide range of financial topics. He has developed a unique ability to understand the needs of his clients and encourage them to embrace revolutionary ideas that may seem unconventional at first, but have been proven to yield real results by his long list of happy and well satisfied clients. In addition to conducting educational workshops, he has reached millions through his 2 previous radio shows, “The Financial Road Map” on 1070 AM KNTH and “The Financial Truth with Justin Shaw” on Business 1110 AM KETK. When he was on the radio, his goal was to dispel some of the rampant, and incorrect myths around financial planning and personal wealth. By interacting with the public through broadcasting, he reached more people with his message of financial freedom
In 2015, Justin was recognized by The National Academy of Best Selling Authors for the successful release of "The Soul of Success 2". On the day of release, it reached best seller status in six US Amazon categories. Justin was joined by a select group of business experts and entrepreneurs from around the world, along with Best-Selling Author, Jack Canfield, originator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul® series, to co-write the book.
Justin is very active both in his professional and business community where he is associated with many organizations including the Better Business Bureau, Houston Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Society of Financial Service Professionals, The Institute of Business and Finance, International Association of Registered Financial Consultants, and National Ethics Association.
Justin is a native Houstonian and lives in Sienna, Texas with his wife of twenty six years Elizabeth and their two children. He is an active member of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
